Paralel

Semakin lama kita berpijak di Bumi, seharusnya semakin kita sadar bahwa ada banyak hal yang berada di luar kendali kita. Sekeras apapun kita mencoba, sekencang apapun kita berdoa, dan selama apapun kita menunggu. Jika memang hal itu tidak berada di dalam jalan hidup kita maka tidak akan pernah terjadi.

Kemudian teori tentang dunia paralel bermunculan. Entah berbasiskan ilmiah atau sekedar menjadi pelipur lara, ada beberapa dari mereka yang percaya bahwa terdapat alam semesta lain dimana kita hidup di dalamnya dengan keputusan kita yang berlawanan daripada alam semesta ini, sehingga di sana kita terdapat kemungkinan bahwa diri kita hidup dengan hal yang tidak kita miliki di dunia ini.

Kita yang masih berjuang untuk hidup barangkali sudah merasakan hidup nyaman di sana. Kita yang terlambat di sini bisa jadi lebih cepat di sana. Mungkin saja di sana hidup kita dengan hal-hal yang sangat berkebalikan dari dunia ini. Mungkin.

Meskipun belum terbukti dan valid, parallel universe ini sangat menenangkan jiwa. Setidaknya ada bagian dari diri kita yang hidup bahagia di sana dengan hal yang sangat kita inginkan di sini. Entah bagaimana teorinya, yang jelas itu semua terjadi. Hanya saja tidak di sini.

Dan di paralel sana kita tidak perlu menurunkan rem tangan.
